Return Policy
The Indian Textiles Company endeavours to adhere to the highest standards in servicing its patrons and is committed to delivering indisputable quality with each sale. We take great pride in our offerings, each of which is a bespoke work of art, created by the extraordinarily skilled weavers of Varanasi and passed on to our patrons after rigorous quality checks and inspection by our team. Do note that certain texture and colour variations are inherent to handloom and handmade products. We, therefore, offer cancellations, returns or exchanges only in the most exceptional circumstances and at our discretion.
By purchasing from The Indian Textiles Company Private Limited you, the customer, agree to be bound by the following terms:
GENERAL TERMS
- The terms hereunder shall be applicable pasi passu to all media and sale platforms, present and future, including but not limited to Instagram, Whatsapp, Official Website, E-Commerce Platforms etc.
- We are not responsible for any interruption that may be caused in our services due to unforeseen circumstances, technical or otherwise.
- All terms herein are subject to change without prior notice. In case of any conflict, the terms/policy existing at the time of the relevant purchase shall prevail.
- Customers must provide correct and complete shipping address/delivery details at all times. No refund, exchange or return will apply to orders with incorrect and/or incomplete shipping address/delivery details.
- If you receive a parcel/consignment that appears to have been tampered with or damaged or is in an unsealed state, you are advised NOT to accept/open such consignment and immediately contact us at __________________ and/or call at _________________.
RETURN AND EXCHANGE
Returns and/or Exchanges will be accepted in the following cases ONLY:
- If a manufacturing defect is found in the item or if the item arrives damaged.
- If you receive an incorrect item.
- If you receive the wrong size.
Return and/or Exchange of item purchased at the store:
- A request for return and/or exchange must be communicated to us via phone/email/Whatsapp within 2 (two) business days of purchase in order to avail a refund in the form of store credits ONLY. The item returned must be in its original condition, with original packaging and tags intact.
- In case your purchased item/s has a defect, customers MUST inform us of the same within 2 (two) business days of purchase/receipt of consignment, for a refund.
- A return and/or exchange request may be approved ONLY after we conduct an assessment of the item.
Return and/or Exchange of items purchased online (domestic and international):
- A request for return and/or exchange may be emailed to ____________________ or communicated via Whatsapp/phone call within 3 (three) business days of receiving the shipment. The email, message and/or DM should mention ‘RETURN/EXCHANGE REQUEST’ in the subject line, include a clear photo of the original sale receipt showing order details as well as multiple, clear photos of the defect/damage in the item (if any) and state the reason for return. We retain the right to seek more information about your request.
- Once a return and/or exchange is approved by us, we shall arrange for the item to be picked up from the address provided to us.
- Once the item is received by us and clears quality checks, you will receive a message from us confirming your store credit, redeemable within 3 (three) months of issuance of the credit.
- ALL CUSTOM DUTIES LEVIED FOR RETURN OF THE ITEM WILL BE BORNE BY THE CUSTOMER.
- Returns and/or Exchange will NOT apply and/or not be accepted in the following cases:
- Any return and/or exchange requested for reasons other than those provided above.
- If changes / customizations have been made to the item as per your request, such as adding tassels and/or fall pico etc.
- Should you find a slight variation in the colour/s of the item as seen on screen, the same may have been caused due to device display settings, angle of the picture etc.
- For items purchased at the store, return and/or exchange requests will not be entertained after 2 (two) business days of purchase.
- Return and/or exchange item/s must not have been worn, washed, or altered in any way.
- Any return/exchange item that is damaged, soiled, altered will NOT be accepted and no store credit will be issued for the same.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation by us:
- We reserve the right to cancel an order if we do not have the relevant stocks.
- In the event of a cancellation from our end, we will intimate you of the cancellation via email or telephone and re-credit the amount paid by you to the source within 2 (two) weeks.
- We will re-credit your account for the value of the goods and shipment ONLY. We DO NOT reimburse any bank charges you may have incurred in the transaction.
- We cannot guarantee or predict the time taken by bank authorities to process the re-credit.
Cancellation by the Customer:
- For a cancellation request to be accepted, it must be made via email and Whatsapp BEFORE the order has been processed. How or when an order will be processed will depend upon the nature of the order.
- We reserve the right to accept or reject a request for cancellation for any reason whatsoever.
- Once we accept a cancellation, we shall intimate you of the same via email and Whatsapp and re-credit the amount paid by you to the source.
- We will re-credit your account for the value of the goods and shipment ONLY. We DO NOT reimburse any bank charges you may have incurred in the transaction.
- We cannot guarantee or predict the time taken by bank authorities to process the re-credit.
Orders NOT eligible for cancellation:
- Orders for items with changes/customizations as per your request at the time of purchase/order, are not eligible for cancellation.
- No order can be cancelled once the same has been processed from our end or the cancellation request is received after the order has been processed.
- We hold the right to determine whether an order has been processed or not.
